Usage: cast soul-siphoning (victim)
This exceptionally deadly spell is used only by some of the most dangerous
casters in existance. The target must make an immediate saving throw vs. spell
or lose a massive amount of life force energy, equal to a double energy drain.
The target also takes a substantial amount of damage in this process. Further,
if the target is low enough level, they can be outright killed by a single
casting of this spell, with a save vs. paralysis to prevent this.
Making the initial save vs. spell negates the energy drain, but not the possibility of instant death for those of low enough level, and also lowers the amount of damage taken by the target. The caster gains hitpoints in proportion to those lost by the victim.
Casting this spell is a heavily evil act, and will reflect as such upon the alignment of the caster.
